After your session, we'll meet again for your Image Premiere, where you'll see your senior portraits for the first time and choose your favorites for albums, wall art, graduation displays, and more.

Folsom Lake is an easy favorite for senior pictures—and for good reason.
The combination of water, rocks, trails, oak trees, open landscapes, and golden-hour light gives us plenty of variety without making your senior pictures feel like they're all taken in the same place.
It's especially beautiful with casual outfits, flowy dresses, boots, letterman jackets, and senior guy looks.
And yes, we can absolutely bring your dog.
Historic Folsom
If you're looking for something with a little more personality and an urban feel, Historic Folsom gives us a completely different look.
Brick, historic architecture, walkways, stairways, storefronts, and interesting textures make it easy to create variety—and it works especially well when you want to mix casual and dressier outfits.
Golden Fields + Natural Locations
There's something about that golden Northern California light.
Open fields, oak trees, trails, tall grasses, and natural landscapes around the Folsom area are perfect if you want senior pictures that feel relaxed and timeless.
These locations are especially beautiful during summer and fall when everything turns warm and golden.
Spring Flowers + Greenery

Folsom Lake is one of the most popular choices because of its water, rocks, trails, oak trees, and golden landscapes. Historic Folsom is great if you want something more urban, while natural areas around Folsom give us fields, greenery, trails, and beautiful golden-hour light.
The best location really depends on what you want your senior pictures to look like.

Absolutely. It's one of my favorite locations for Folsom senior pictures because we can create several different looks within the same general area. Depending on the season, we can incorporate the lake, rocky shoreline, trees, trails, golden grass, and sunset.

There isn't one perfect season—it depends on the look you want.
Summer and fall are great for warm golden landscapes and beautiful evening light. Winter and early spring bring greener scenery, while spring can give us flowers and fresh greenery.
If you have a specific look in mind, we'll talk about the best time to schedule your session during the planning process.

Most of my seniors bring 5 outfits or outfit options so we can create plenty of variety.
Think about bringing a mix of casual, dressy, and personality-filled looks. You can also bring your letterman jacket, sports uniform, FFA jacket, favorite boots, college tee, or anything else that's meaningful to your senior year.
And don't worry—you don't have to figure it out alone. Outfit planning is part of your MC Senior Photo experience.

Most of my seniors have never had professional pictures taken before. I guide you through your entire session—from where to stand and what to do with your hands to movement and expressions—so you never have to figure it out yourself.

Yes. After your session, you'll come back for your Image Premiere where you'll see your senior portraits for the first time.
I'll help you choose your favorite images and decide how you'd like to enjoy them, including custom senior albums, framed wall art, storyboards, graduation displays, and digital image collections.

Absolutely. I photograph seniors throughout the greater Sacramento area and Northern California.
Your senior portrait location doesn't have to be in Folsom just because you live or attend school there. We'll choose your locations based on the look you want for your session.

Your Image Premiere is typically scheduled within approximately one -two weeks of your session. That's when you'll see your senior pictures for the first time, choose your favorites, and select the products and artwork you'd like to take home.
